I meant to post this earlier but got sidetracked with my new site Jessica Szohr Network, for the beatiful actress of Gossip Girl fame who plays the stunning outsider, Vanessa Abrams.  I wanted to tell you all about it so you can embark on this next journey with me. 

Former Days of Our Lives writer Tom Casiello, who was a part of Hogan Sheffer’s team at Days, speaks out on the news that Dena Higley has been confirmed as the show’s new head writer and talks about Days renewal rumors. Casiello puts aside his own mixed feelings about how his team was booted from the soap and urges fans to do whatever it takes to save the show. Classy. Very classy. Here’s the link.

So this is very good news you guys but like TC says we have to do more so that the show does not fade to black next year.  I’m not a huge fan of Dena for what she did to One Life To Live, but as long as she tells the stories right this time around – I’m all for it.  She has increased the ratings of Days with the Plane disaster storyline, but I believe also with the help and direction of EP Ed Scott.  I’ve also read that she’s a fan of Max and Steph (I don’t know how tru that is so don’t quote me on it) and if that’s a true fact and she plans on going for them in the long run of things then count me in since they’re the main reason I tune into Days (when they’re on).

I’ve also added some more images of Shelley at the “Run, Fatboy, Run” premiere so you can check those out.  I have to cap a couple more eisodes of Days but those too will be uploaded tomorrow while I’m in class and during my breaks waiting for other classes to start.  So keep a lookout on those.  I’ll add previews later (It’s 4 a.m. where I am and I need sleep).

Plus, we now have to wait 30 days to find out if Shelley’s made it onto the official Daytime Emmy nomination list, so cross your fingers people since she had some amazing scenes this year!

Fans seem to think we could be getting an announcement very soon regarding the future status of Days.

NBC will be announcing its annual 2008-2009 programming schedule next week, a full month and a half ahead of the other networks. It’s the earliest upfronts presentation ever for the company, and bucks the traditional timetable of the annual meetings, says the Reporter.

The Peacock will also be presenting its schedule in the style of a news conference, further deviating from the week-long, lavish events that were typical in the days of (pre-strike) yore. The revised announcement style is part of a 52-week programming approach that will rely on the press conference and exec-advertiser one-on-ones across the country.

While there have been murmurings about the ways in which networks are revising their modi operandi, NBC’s announcement is yet another illustration of the industry’s evolution. Is this a good thing for television? How will it translate, if at all, into what we’ll be watching in the year to come?

That’s all the news we have for now; hope Days is still listed as being on their line-up this year, beacause you may or may not know that NBC plans on eventually getting out of the soap business and have already dumped one soap Passions – around this time last year.  This weekend I’ll be finishing up the screencaps on the site – its taken me a little longer than I’d like to get them up but they will be there nonethless in preparation for April!  Let’s hope some exciting things hapen for Stephanie very soon.

Well I seemed to overlook this yesterday when I checked my usual accounts, but when I first looked I didn’t see these so I thought nothing of it but Shelley gave me the tip that she attended the premiere of the above movie and looked absolutely gorgeous with her high-waisted jean pants.  The gallery currently has 28 pictures from the event – but I plan on getting at least 20 more so be on the look out for those.

I’ve finished uploading the Year In The Life pictures of Shelley – so you can now view them in their entirety.  But they will have a major overhaul once more as I adjust and switch them around because they are out of order.  It won’t happen now but soon.

I’ve also uploaded Shelley’s Portraits from Miss Teen USA 2004; they’re in kind of High Quality so dial-up users beware it may take some time to upload.  I have loads more coming for this but they’re on my home computer and I’m currently using my computer at work.

Last but not least the Days official website updated their Style section and “Steph” is on it and I’ve uploaded those pics to the gallery as well.   So check out all the new additions.   

We’re uploading a ton of pictures – we’re still a little slow on the forum so just be patient for that.  Please do not repeatedly ask questions if Shelley will join the board – as I’ve said before she has expressed interest in posting somewhere periodically (possibly the forum) and that is where the boards comes into play but it depends on Ms. Shelley, her schedule, and the time she’ll have to dedicate to posting when it allows her to – so please refrain from sending us emails and posting it in the comments section. You just have to wait like we do; Thank You.

On  a better note I’m getting a lot more pictures uploaded to the gallery, I’m also getting some videos of Shelley at the Miss Teen USA 2005 pagent where she crowns her successor and I’m trying hard to get her appearance at the 2007 Miss Teen USA pagent since she was a judge and helped make one girls dream come true.

ABC will broadcast this year’s Daytime Emmys live on Friday, June 20, from 8 to 11 pm/ET sharp, from Hollywood’s Kodak Theater.

Let’s hope Shelley is on the official ballot.

I’m working hard to get a lot of updates to the gallery.  I’m almost done with “A Year In The Life” Miss Teen USA 2004.  I hope you like those pics.  It seems like Shelley had an amazing year helping to make a difference with her title, and she continues to do so til this day speaking out against drunk driving and many other causes.

So you can click on the picture that you’d like and be taken to it and the album.  Only one picture from the above has just one photo from the event in that album the rest have quite a bit.  I hope you enjoy these updates and don’t wory it’s not over.  There’s just so many from her year long reign that I get kind of tired after awhile and need to take a break.  So I’ll hopefully have the rest up by the end of the week.  If you have any donations that you’d like to send in please don’t hesitate to email me.

Nice To Meet You: This was done I’m guessing when Shelley first arrived at Days – and this is just a brief introduction of Shelley and her portrayl of Stephanie as well as things about her then storyline, which was when she was involved with Jeremy Horton.

Day Trading: This was the article Shelley told me about and I went out to go get it.  It just mainly talks about if you’re missing your favorite soapy primetime shows then get into daytime because they have the same if not more juicy drama.  They were really spot on with their comparisons.  

Also I uploaded three pics of Shelley at the CBS Daytime Emmy After Party from 2007.  I hope she attends this year and even more I hope that she’s nominated!  I’ll add previews of that later.

Ok – so after basically three days of being offline (well the main page at least) we’re finally back up and running and I couldn’t be more pleased than I am now.  But there’s yet another problem – the photos that I have previously updated in the gallery that usually show up on the sidebar as well as the images I put in my posts aren’t there – so we’re working on getting that righted as well. 

Other than that everything is fine and I uploaded some magazine scans and I have one more to go.  I’m super sorry that the one magazine is wrinkled – I’ve had it for almost a year and it’s been through some things.  I’ll add more about the scans once I can add pictures – also the screencaps are all up-to-date they just need to be uploaded, and isn’t Shelley just amazing in these current scenes with Steve?
