Hey guys… we’ve got this other question from a ton of people, some in comments and a lot via email, asking if SSO will provide a forum for fans to come and hang out while chatting about Shelley, her projects, Days and more… the answer is yes.  Drea and I do have plans to add a forum to the site soon.  We’d like to finish the pages first so that people who are new to Shelley can get a feel for who she is, what she’s done, why SSO and a lot more.  Also, we want to get the video vault archive open so that you all can see many clips of Shelley as “Stephanie,” Miss Teen USA 2004, SOAPNet’s I Wanna Be A Soap Star (Guest Judge) and more.

So yes we have a lot of stuff in the works behind the scenes.  It’s just a matter of getting things done that we’ve had planned before that.  Hopefully it’ll all be done in a timely manner and we’ll have the full site launch sometime in March.

How does that sound… good?  Ok so I’m busy getting to work on these February screencaps and getting them uploaded for your viewing pleasure.  ….And if you’re a STAX fan we have a very exciting scene (I believe) coming up on Monday.  I read the Day Ahead recap and I can’t wait!

We got a burning question in our mailbag regarding writing fan mail to Shelley.  Now I don’t 100% remember the mailing address of the DAYS studio and unfortunately they don’t have it online.  But I do run an official fan site for Adrian Bellani (ex-Miguel, Passions) and I believe it’s the same thing for her what it was for him except the  different show names.  Correction – Drea has sent me this to post instead – this is the actual mailing address that you’ll want to use to send autograph requests, scrapbooks, fan mail and more.

I hope this helps and is sort of right.  Another part of their question was have we ever sent in fan mail and received a reply.  Personally I’ve never done it (I can’t speak for Drea).  I just have no time really… but I have a friend who sent an autograph request in as a present for me to Justin Hartley (ex-Fox, Passions) and she got it in a couple of weeks.  So I think it always depends on the person you are sending it to and when they have the time to sit down and write out the requests.  Also, always remember if you decide to do this – make sure you include a stamped self addressed envelope that they can easily stick the requested copy in and ship it back off to you.

I hope you have success - and should this post get lost with all the rest don’t worry.  We will be adding it to the FAQs and Contact information for Shelley.

The NBC Days official site has a poll going on asking you the fans who should Max end up with?  The choices are:

• Morgan
• Chelsea
• Stephanie
• Max should be single….

Of course me being a Stephanie/Max shipper I voted for Steph.  She’s winning with a major lead at 79%.  So go on over to the site and vote for Stephanie (If you ship the couple).

Qua and I have the new layout up but we are currently working on putting all the pages up and getting the Video Vault up as well which might be in a few days or less it won’t have much in it but it will grow as time goes on. So keep checking back for a fully revamped site.

SSO is getting a complete makover on the main page as well as in the gallery.  Our main site layout should be up by week’s end and the gallery a little bit after that when our other site Admin, Drea, has the time to create one.

I’ve seen the preview for the layout and it is gorgeous! I hope you all like it because we’ll have it on the site for awhile!  But I’m telling you it’ll blow you away.

 Also I’ll be getting screencaps for the month up ASAP and get ready for our Media Vault which will open sometime in March, *crosses fingers.*

Shelley is featured on The Days part of Soap Opera Digest in the above. It’s really interesting and may give you some insight into Shelley and the wondeful person and activist she is. I’ll also link Soap Star Stats here if you want a quick link to find the page again in the future and it’s always available at SOD online.

I’m terribly sorry for the lack of updates. I promise we won’t go through something like this again. This is one of my favorite sites and we need more news on Shelley. We have the motherload right now… I’ll tell you about it in a bit below.

As you can see I finally got the kink with the images worked out and can now regularly post images with my news updates too. So I’ve uploaded almost 40 Daily Image Recaps of “Stephanie” to the gallery. I’ll be doing screencaps soon of Shelley’s February on-screen appearances. I just love Stax – the best couple on Days IMO that’re “teens.”

Outstanding Younger Actress In A Drama Series

Shelley is nominated for the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Pre-Nomination! WOOOHOOO Shelley has kicked tail these last couple of months as the tortured Stephanie Johnson, who’s guarding a deep and dark secret from her family and friends. I’m really excited about this and I hope she makes it onto the official ballot – Rachel Melvin as well since she delivered an amazing performance this year too. Now our co-admin Ms. Drea does a site on Rachel as well as daytime powerhouse Kirsten Storms – I’m also hoping she gets on there as well.

 Sorry that I can’t show pictures of the things that I update as a preview but I’m working on that and hopefully we’ll get that kink worked out.

That never ending revolving door just won’t stop long enough to get a grasp on the entire situation.

“According to sources, the following writers have been fired and will not return to the show after the strike ends: Head Writer: Hogan Sheffer; Associate Head Writers: Tom Casiello, Frederick Johnson, Meg Kelly, Gordon Rayfield, Judy Tate; Script Writers: Judith Donato, Renee Godelia; Script Editor: Richard Backus. The status of the other Script Writers: Bettina F. Bradbury, Cydney Kelley, and Jodie Scholz is unclear at the moment.”

This comes amidst a major upheaval at the venerable soap. Long time actors and actors portraying fan favorite characters are being fired right and left. Still other actors have been reportedly fired though Days of Our Lives representatives have denied the validity of the reports. In addition Carolyn Hinsey reported that Dena Higley is writing for the show during the strike and considering these developments it would seem that rumors of her taking over after the Writers Strike could be true.

Some of you may or may not know that Dena Higley is the ousted writer from One Life To Live. She was fired last year after Erica Slezack (Vicki) spoke out about her ridiculous storylines.

This news is very troubling since Hogan, at least in my opinion, was doing a fantastic job as Head Writer.  I think the show may once again go back into the dark hole it was in when ex-Head Writer, James E. Reilly penned the soap.
