As per Deadline Hollywood‘s latest round of casting, the amazing Mr. Gale Harold has been cast as Shelley’s TV dad in the pilot for The Secret Circle! This is amazing… I’ve been a fan of this man for ages. Here’s a very small blurb, but click DH above to read it in full.
Harold, repped by Gersh and Principal, will play Thomas Meade, the father of Diana, the head of the witch circle and Cassie’s friend.

I just found some news that The Secret Circle will begin production on the pilot next week, Mar. 24, up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Here’s hoping there’s a few on-set images.
Also to the people who are continuously complaining about the Diana in the book having blonde hair vs. Shelley’s brunette hair. If you’d kindly do your research, for her role as Stephanie on Days Of Our Lives, she once was blonde on the show for quite some time. Photographic Evidence:
Stunning no matter what — brunette/blonde take your pick. I do hope she gets to keep her hair color — people will eventually get over it like they did with Nina Dobrev as Elena on TVD or even Shay Mitchell as Emily on PLL.

AMAZING NEWS GUYS! Ok, I’ve been ready for whatever good news to come for Shelley since she announced back in January that she was leaving the NBC hit soap Days Of Our Lives well… AHHH SHE GOT A PILOT! Shelley has been added to the cast of The CW pilot The Secret Circle (which is said to be looking good and I’m in love with the casting even more now with Shelley’s addition) as per Deadline Hollywood!
Shelley Hennig (Days of Our Lives) and Jessica Parker Kennedy (Smallville) have joined the CW one-hour pilot The Secret Circle, about Cassie (Britt Robertson), who moves to a new town and discovers that not only is she a witch and part of a secret coven, but she’s also the key that will unlock a centuries-old battle of good versus evil. Hennig, repped by Gersh and Alchemy, will play the head of the witches circle who quickly befriends Cassie. Kennedy, repped by Gersh and Armada Partners, will play another member of the coven of witches.

Shelley Hennig will portray Diana, the leader of the group of witches of which Cassie (Britt Robertson) learns she is a part. Viewers will quickly learn that Diana has been dating Adam (Thomas Dekker) since childhood.
