Days Of Our Lives own Molly Burnett takes you behind-the-scenes and gets candid with some of the young and sexy stars of the show. She starts out by talking to Jay and Shelley then finishes off with Taylor (Mia) and Dylan (Will). You can see more of what went on that day that wasn’t captured on Ali Sweeney’s photos.

Sorry for the delay in the remainder of the June 2009 caps but my regular source was out but has not caught up with the dates and I will too. So look for those by late evening Tuesday night!

In the magazine the cast of Days is featured in the Click! section. Shelley, Molly, Eric, Nadia, Galen and some newcomers attended the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game last week and two of the show’s singing sensations, Nadia (Chloe) and Eric (Brady) sang the Star Spangled Banner for the opening.

Also there is a small sneak peek for what’s to come with Stephanie on Days. I won’t add it here in case we have visitors who don’t like to be spoiled.

If you have not noticed yet, I finally did add the scans of Shelley in Soap Opera Digest to the gallery as promised. You’ll see Shelley with her dad for Father’s Day, Click! with Jay (Philip), and the preview of Stephanie & EJ. I hope you all caught Friday’s episode and Stephanie confronting EJ and just wow. She needs another Applause, Applause ASAP.

Thanks to our wonderful Twittering Colleen who alerted me to some awesome shots from Alison Sweeney (who is making me sad with these scenes! Would it hurt to see some emotional lines for Sami and Stephanie to actually share a real heartfelt scene between the two cousins?) which she uploaded to Twitter and Whrrl. Shelley looks gorgeous as always and I can’t wait to see the final product!

Shelley Hennig’s Got Style!

Shelley Hennig looks fabulous whether she’s dressed WAY up in full red-carpet splendor, or in super casual mode. The Aftermath

It’s been a few weeks since Stephanie’s kidnapping ordeal was over, but the effects are still overshadowing her life. Stephanie hasn’t led an exactly sheltered life, but she hasn’t ever been a member of a crime family like the Kiriakis’s, either. “It’s extremely overwhelming for her,” Shelley tells us, “and so beyond what she’s ever been through, that she starts resorting to medication – prescription medication. She goes to see a doctor to see if she can just talk to someone and maybe feel better about it.”

Stephanie didn’t want to start taking those pills, but the temptation was just too great. After all, if they could make her feel better, why not? But when one pill didn’t work, she decided to take another. “And they’re making her really jittery and clearly messing with her and not helping matters much. They’re making her even more paranoid than she already was. Then she finds out that Owen escaped so she feels like she’s in danger again.”

The problem, of course, is that if she becomes Mrs. Philip Kiriakis, the danger won’t ever really, truly go away. “She wants to be able to be with Philip for the rest of her life,” as Shelley say, “but the reality is she knows that she can’t. She’s trying to forget about that by taking pills.” And when people like her Uncle Roman try to warn her, to make her open her eyes, she “just tells him that she has it under control. The less she hears about it, the better chance there is for her to just ignore it.”

What will happen with Stephanie and Philip’s relationship remains to be seen. Will she ever get over the kidnapping – really? And will she make it down the aisle to become Mrs. Philip Kiriakis? She’s tried to break things off with him before, she may try again, but the questions remains – will those break-ups ever stick?

Don’t worry I have exciting news and uploads of Shelley but every once in awhile I like to write about Shelley’s castmates or important people in her life. So here goes:

Congratulations are in order for Ms. Shelley’s great friend, Ms. Tami Farrell (she was also Miss Teen USA 2003). Tami was appointed the new Ms. California USA (she should have won it in the first place I thought)! So huge congratulations to her and I believe she’ll be a great reprsentation of the state.

Congrats are in order for former co-star and friend Rachel Melvin! Rachel has landed a role on the NBC hit series, Heroes as Claire’s (Hayden P.) roomate. So look out for her this fall when the show starts its 4th season. I honestly can’t wait until Ms. S starts making appearances like these on primetime television.

Also Congrats to co-star Arianne Zucker (Nicole) and Kyle Lowder (ex-Brady, Days; Rick, B&B) they’re expecting their own bundle of joy! I was wondering why Ari wasn’t playing BBall like she was last year.

Casting News: Days is bringing in Daytime vets Crystal Chappell (Olivia, Guiding Light; ex-Carly, Days) to reprise her role as Dr. Carly Manning and Wally Kurth (ex-Ned, GH; ex-Sam, ATWT) is back as Justin Kiriakis who was last seen on the show in 1991 and his character is related to Stephanie through marriage from her aunt Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis (Judi Evans).

So… just wow! I am so happy for CC I have never seen her on this soap (I love her on GL) and she’s a powerhouse actress so know there are going to be some fun scenes with her in the mix; but I read something Ali Sweeney talked about and agree 100%. How do you get rid of so many actors and actresses i.e. Mary Beth, Stephen, Deidre, Drake and Thaao for budgeting reasons yet you still have to have something to hire on everyone that is coming through the invisible revolving door.

That’s really all the big news we’ve seen rock daytime now for the past week or so. Onto Shelley!

Colleen FINALLY got her Soap Opera Digest, and like the angel she is scanned it for the site! There’s a one page article about Father’s Day and SOD talked to Ms. Shelley’s dad who seems like such a sweet man and his answers are just Awww… worthy Colleen and I thought.

The Click! section of the magazine did photo coverage of the Days Basketball game and has a cute picture of Shelley & Jay. So you’ll see that as well.

Finally, what’s to come: BIG scenes are coming up for our girl. I am so excited for her and can’t wait to see this play out on TV. Stephanie becomes hooked on something, confronts EJ and gives him one whopper of a Hmmmm I won’t tell you what you’ll have to read it!
