The 20th Annual James Reynolds ‘Days of Our Lives’ Celebrity Basketball game is set to take place in Pasadena California on May 29, 2009, to benefit the South Pasadena High School Boys Basketball program and Fremont Centre Theatre.

Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. and participating celebrities who will be joining Reynolds include “Days of our Lives” stars Bryan Dattilo (Lucas), Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip), Eric Matsoff (Brady), Arianne Zuker-Lowder (Nicole), Kyle Lowder (Brady), Terrell Ramson, Jr. (Theo), Shawn Christian (Dr. Daniel Jonas), Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) and many others.

The event will take place at South Pasadena High School’s Main Gym located at 1401 Diamond Avenue in South Pasadena, one block behind the school. Doors will open at 7:00 pm and there will be a raffle as well as a silent auction. General Admission tickets are $15. VIP tickets are $125, which includes backstage access at the game, a team jersey, a photo with the teams, a gift basket and priority seating. Shelley received a high honor in this week’s Soap Opera Weekly magazine. The editor(s) singled out Shelley’s recent performance as to what they’re applauding during Phillip’s shooting and the aftermath with Stephanie. This is the second time she’s had an Applause, Applause. She also was noticed as Perfromer of The Week (along with on-screen dad Stephen Nichols, ex-Patch) for Steph’s breakdown with Patch about Ford and the rape.

I’m so happy for her. In the interview Shelley did with Jay in Soap Opera Digest a couple weeks back they talked about these scenes and Jay said how touched he was and if I’m not mistaken he said something about a tear.

So with his father, the great Stefano DiMera, being held captive by Victor, what is EJ to do? This week, Victor demands that EJ sign over all of DiMera Enterprises in order for Stefano to be released. Say what you will about the ethics of keeping a man held captive against his will, but Victor’s a good businessman.

So since EJ can’t take the Kiriakises down on his own, he enlists some help. Enter Owen, the Creepy Gardener with Secrets. And their first target isn’t Victor, or even Philip … it’s Stephanie. The poor girl ends the week drugged and kidnapped. Philip, Victor? It’s your move.

Speaking of Philip making a move, before the whole kidnapping ugliness goes down, Stephanie accepts Philip’s marriage proposal. Happy news, right? Well, not if you’re Melanie, who doesn’t mask her disappointment all that well. And not if you’re Grandma Caroline, who warns Steph about what life with a Kiriakis man is all about. Sure, Caroline’s being a total meddler, but a) she knows of what she speaks considering her longstanding relationship with Victor, and b) it looks like she’ll be proved correct. You know, with the kidnapping and all?

This is what I was referring to about the, er.. exciting things to come. I know Owen hasn’t debuted yet but I’m a huge fan of Wes Ramsey’s (you may have seen him in an episode of Charmed as Future Wyatt, s-m-o-k-i-n’! hot!). So a potential triangle between Philip/Stephanie/Owen now that’d be must-see TV for me.

I don’t know if you all noticed but April 20, 2009 marked the 2 Year Anniversary – when Shelley debuted on Days as Stephanie “Little Sweetness” Johnson!

This was originally supposed to upload sooner but the server crash lost all the posts and gallery updates.

It was up in the air for awhile when no one knew who was going to air the soap star-studded event.  NBC stopped airing it years ago, CBS and ABC decided not to air (it  aired on ABC last year) it after they were the only two networks who participated in the yearly rotations.

Well, it seems that The CW has decided it can’t get any worst and will take on the telecast of the 36th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards on the CW Television Network on Sunday, August 30th, 2009 from the historic Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

So let’s hope we catch a glimpse of Shelley this year on the red carpet.  She was absolutely radiant and glowing last year in her NV black and white dress.

Shelley is finally front burner and I am loving it. I still have a ton of stuff to do and it will be done. My biggest concern has been taken care of with my University Commencement last Saturday, I just have 6-12 wk Summer courses and I’ll be done with Uni… which is a little bittersweet.

Back to the woman we all seemingly know and love Ms. Shelley and her portrayl of Stephanie.

The gallery is a little wonky, I am aware of that, but its only because we have to keep upgrading coppermine due to the new security risks we’re faced with by using a outdated version. It will look back to normal when the Stramm is upgraded as well. So just bear with me on that front.
