BIG updates to the Video Vault! We’ve added all of the February clips!
I’ve been working hard here at work to upload all of our missing dates and I think I’ll be able to get all of them up (hopefully) before I leave.

I’ve stayed up all night with a horrible headache to bring you all the screencaps I’ve missed and Monday’s as well so we are caught up basically there and I just have to do the DIR images and we are golden.
I also saw a cute interview of Shelley when she attended the Bel Air Film Festival back in November. I’ll be adding screencaps of it later on today (along with the Michael Fairman Day of Days interview).
So sorry for the delay in adding caps. A couple of days ago I had an issue with my laptop (which I conduct all site work from) and my power cord was not functioning properly so I had to call and order a new one which came two days later but I will be picking up and adding all the screencaps that I’ve missed so we’ll be updated before the weekend is out.
I have to update a number of my sites and SSO is at the top of the list. So just bear with me a little while longer.
YAY so finally with the help of my best friend we were able to get the new gallery layout up yesterday – it’s not 100% completed because there are still some things I need to add and link to the design. It was created by the insanely talented and my amazing friend Ana and you can visit her design site here. So make sure you check out her portfolio and if you love what you see (trust me you will) order from her pronto and just in case she’s not accepting at the moment then periodically check back until she is.
So I hope you love it as much as I do!
This latest exit for me is a little crushing because I’ve come to care for the actress and character very much… so I’m saddened to report that Rachel Melvin (Chelsea), Shelley’s good friend and co-star, will be leaving the sudser in Spring when her contract expires (she opted not to resign). We believe in Rachel and wish her luck and success in her future endeavors and projects either in daytime or primetime.
Another DAYS Exit

Also to stay on the topic of Shelley – if you have not noticed by the new pictures showing up on the sidebar – I am adding more caps to the gallery of Stephanie’s appearances – I still have to add the emotional episode that happened on Feb. 4th. So much more to come and I can’t wait for you to see the new gallery!
I read that comment when I found out who was fired from Days last week… it’s very fitting for this piece of news. It looks like Shelley’s on-screen parents, Stephen (Patch) & Mary Beth (Kayla) have been fired! That’s right FIRED! This show is so unrecognizable right now and when I do “watch” it’s to only get the episode from somewhere to cap for Shelley’s scenes.
DAYS’ Nichols and Evans Fired!
Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) and Stephen Nichols (Steve), who returned to DAYS OF OUR LIVES in 2006, have been let go. “It’s like they’re getting rid of everyone over 40,” sighs a setside source.
Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Drake Hogestyn (John) were fired in November, and Thaoo Penghlis (Tony) was fired last week.
In an inteview with Digest back in November, Executive Producer Ken Corday explained that NBC renewed the show, but at a “greatly reduced” fee that necessitates major cuts. He said at the time: “The state of NBC and DAYS is not the same as it was six months ago. We’re lucky that we’re still on the air for 20 months, with possibly another year after that.”
Penghlis wrote in his website earlier this week: “At least I’m in good company and I did live through the best of DAYS.” [Source]
