So Days of our Lives has passed yet another hurdle… the big 4-3! That’s right the NBC daytime sudser turned 43 on Saturday November 8, 2008.
On behalf of SSO we’d like to extend our well wishes to the cast, crew and everyone who has helped make Days the show it is today.
Michael Fairman | On Air On Soaps was recently at the “Day of Days” Event interviewing various cast members of the show and he finally got a chance to meet the alluring Shelley Hennig. Here’s what Mr. Michael said on his site:
“Shelley Hennig and I finally met! She was scheduled to attend “Soaps In The City” and told me she had a last minute conflict, so this was our first encounter. AND we discussed her being a former Miss Teen USA and Govenor Sarah Palin’s beauty queens days!”

NBC has uploaded a video of the entire cast walking the red carpet, Shelley come in at the 4:05 mark of the video (it counts backwards). She comes out behind Josh Taylor (Roman). Check it out.
Last night, I added 20 photos of Shelley looking amazing at the Nov. 1st Day of Days Fan Event. When you’re able to check out the pictures in the gallery. There are various solo shots, “family” group shots with Shelley, Stephen (Steve/Patch) and Mary Beth (Kayla), then there are cast group shots.
Ok so my train of thought was to make just one post about this on Election Day… today is your day to get out there to the polls and let your voice be heard! We don’t want to know who you’re choosing we just want you to make a choice. This is a monumental day in history and you have a say in what the outcome will be.
So get out there and Vote.. Vote.. VOTE!

I finally got a chance to add the screencaps from the end of last month to the gallery for you all. Stephanie is beginning to interact with other characters more… Phillip! I’m really happy for Jay because now he gets to work with the fabulous Shelley. Jay revealed in the online Days fan questionare (fans sent in questions to Darin, Jay, and Bryan who read and answered them via a webcam) Ask The Hunk that he would like to work with Shelley.
Sooo here’s a preview of the caps and also a small YouTube clip of what’s to happen on Days during November Sweeps! What’s November Sweeps some of you may ask… it’s 4 monthly periods (February, May, July & November) where data is collected and used by local stations and cable systems to set local ad rates and to make program decisions. It’s a big thing in Broadcasting (my field of University study right now). But in cases with soaps, BIG things happen to help boost ratings.
